If you've noticed GWS Giants<\/a> forward Jesse Hogan<\/a> walking with a bit of extra swagger this season, you're right.<\/p>\n

With 10 goals already to his name after just two rounds of footy, Hogan, who is at his third club, says he's finally enjoying his game again.<\/p>\n

He, alongside Jake Riccardi and Aaron Cadman, make up a new power forward line for the Giants, who are hoping to achieve maiden premiership success after their heartbreaking preliminary final exit last season at the hands of Collingwood.<\/p>\n

\ufeffSince then, the Giants have taken two convincing wins against Collingwood in Opening Round, then North Melbourne in round one.<\/p>\n

Hogan kicked four goals against the Pies and another six against the Kangaroos.<\/p>\n

"The last 18 months have been pretty fun. It's probably the most fun period I've had playing footy," Hogan told reporters on Monday.<\/p>\n

"You get chemistry with your teammates, that takes time \u2026 having faith you've done the work during the pre-season allows you to go out and just play footy."<\/p>\n

Hogan, who played 71 games for the Demons, then another 17 for Fremantle before making the move to New South Wales, has struggled to overcome a plethora of injuries, including quad troubles last season.<\/p>\n

However, he says trying new methods in the off season have built him up\ufeff to a new found strength he hasn't felt since he began his career back in 2013.<\/p>\n

"My body's been pretty good to me over the last 18 months," Hogan said,<\/p>\n

"I'm putting more time into recovery – pilates, extra stuff with the physio.<\/p>\n

"It's a bit cliche but I'm getting a little bit older now. Nothing out of the ordinary, just having to put a little bit more time into it."<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old also revealed his other secret weapon that has bolstered his confidence even further.<\/p>\n

The forward, who has already kicked 284 goals from 148 games, has been working under triple premiership player Cameron Mooney.<\/p>\n

Mooney was Geelong's key power forward for their golden era of premiership success, helping them to their 2007 and 2009 flags. he also played in North Melbourne's 1999 premiership.<\/p>\n

The former Cat has joined the Giants on a part time basis\ufeff as a forward coach, bringing his ferocious style back to life, this time through Hogan's game.<\/p>\n

"He comes in once a fortnight, we just do a bit of contested marking stuff, bodywork stuff, and just the mental side of the game as well \u2026 obviously he worked in a very prolific forward line at the Cats, so to take knowledge away from what he knows, it's been really handy for myself, Aaron (Cadman) and Jake (Riccardi)," Hogan said.<\/p>\n
