Tottenham<\/a>'s bid for Champions League<\/a> qualification was hurt by a surprising 3-0 loss at Fulham in one of three Premier League<\/a> games played on Sunday morning (AEDT).<\/p>\n

Rodrigo Muniz sent the ball into the back of the net on each side of half-time, while Sa\u0161a Luki\u0107 also got on the score sheet as the fifth-placed Spurs missed the chance to climb above Aston Villa into fourth spot on the EPL ladder. <\/p>\n

Despite the loss, Tottenham stayed six points ahead of sixth-place Manchester United and both sides have 10 matches remaining, but they now sit two points behind Aston Villa who have a game in hand against West Ham.<\/p>\n

It looks increasingly likely that the EPL will have five berths in next season's expanded Champions League because of the strong showing of English teams in European competitions, but Tottenham might not be one of them after their latest effort. <\/p>\n

Former captain Jamie Redknapp slammed their performance and urged Ange Postecoglou<\/a> to stick a rocket up his side as they fight for UCL qualification.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I thought those types of performances were a thing of the past," he told Sky Sports.<\/p>\n

"They were off it from minute one. There was a lethargy about their play, there was no energy. They never got to grips, they never won individual battles – I was amazed. <\/p>\n

"I can't fathom what I have seen in terms of their energy. They came into this game with arrogance and the Premier League isn't like that. This might be the warning that he [Postecoglou] needs \u2026 I'd be in that dressing room if I was him absolutely fuming. <\/p>\n

"They've got to get themselves back, but that was so uncharacteristic – that was like the previous two or three seasons."<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Burnley boosted its unlikely hopes of staying up with a first win in 2024, while relegation candidates Luton and Nottingham Forest drew 1-1.<\/p>\n

Forest stayed three points above Luton, which is third-to-last and occupying the final relegation spot, after seeing its 34th-minute volley opener by Chris Wood canceled out by substitute Luke Berry.<\/p>\n
