C\ufeffameron Ciraldo<\/a> has admitted his frustration with a number of calls against the Bulldogs<\/a>, saying he needed to "bite his tongue" after the side's loss to Cronulla<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Canterbury produced another mixed display on Friday night, defending impeccably during the opening 40 minutes, before being outclassed in the second-half.<\/p>\n

However, a number of crucial decision went against the visitors at PointsBet Stadium, including a first-half incident that saw Viliame Kikau<\/a> denied a try after the referee impeded Cronulla five-eighth Braydon Trindall.<\/p>\n

Quizzed on the incident and the overall level of officiating against his team, Ciraldo erred on the side of caution and put the onus back onto the media post-game.<\/p>\n

"I have to be careful with what I say, but I was disappointed,"\ufeff he said.<\/p>\n

"I've got lots of thoughts on that… what did you think? I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just trying to bite my tongue on it a little bit.<\/p>\n

"I just felt like at half time the score could've been a lot different and that could've changed the tempo of the game."<\/p>\n

Bulldogs captain Stephen Crichton<\/a> agreed with his coach, claiming that Kikau "would have scored anyway" given the size difference between the Fijian back-rower and the defender in Trindall.<\/p>\n

The disallowed try wasn't the only issue for Ciraldo either, with the second-year head coach pointing out a number of other calls from Ziggy Przeklasa-Adamski.<\/p>\n

"I just thought there were a lot," he said.<\/p>\n

"[Blake] Taaffe gets tackled in the air and loses the ball \u2014 that's a penalty every day of the week. Kikau, from what I saw it wasn't a high tackle [on Will Kennedy].<\/p>\n

"I could go on and on. I'm going to have to send them in this week and get some clarity on some of them because there's just so many of them.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"We were hurting ourselves last year and we didn't have that same level of effort. Now I've got that level of effort, I want us to get the fair calls, I want us to get what they deserve because they're not getting it at the moment."<\/p>\n
