Curtis Scott<\/a> has started his boxing<\/a> career in style, knocking out fellow ex-NRL<\/a> star Joey Leilua<\/a> in the second round of their heavyweight bout.<\/p>\n

The premiership winner was 30kg lighter than his opponent on Wednesday night's No Limit card in Wollongong, but made light work of the Samoan international. \ufeff<\/p>\n

A\ufefffter some backstage drama over whether Leilua or Scott would walk out first, things got off to a frantic start as the former Storm speedster came out flying with big shots.<\/p>\n

Scott continued to pressure Leilua early in the second round\ufeff and after landing a heavy combination, dropped the heavier man to the canvas and the ref waved it off.<\/p>\n

Following his win on debut, the 26-year-old thanked Leilua despite the war of words that had erupted prior to their showdown.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI want to thank Joey and his team – there were a few things said, but it's nothing personal," an overwhelmed Scott said post fight.<\/p>\n

"He was right, it wasn't going past two (rounds). I just had to pick him when he was changing from orthodox to southpaw and follow him down the middle."<\/p>\n

Scott also threw down the gauntlet to AFL<\/a> legend Barry Hall<\/a> for a potential heavyweight clash later this year, claiming he would end his boxing career.<\/p>\n

"If that old bugger wants to get in, I'm happy to put him in retirement for good."<\/p>\n
