At 18, the Red Bull-sponsored prodigy became the first athlete to win big air, slopestyle and halfpipe World Cup medals in a single season, en route to clinching his maiden crystal globe.<\/p>\n
He stopped attending school physically \ufeffafter Year 7 and quit altogether after Year 11.<\/p>\n
And while his dad used to go everywhere with him, he now does most of his travel solo, although his physio and videographer sometimes tag along.<\/p>\n
"It's pretty awesome," Guseli says of the crazy life he's living.<\/p>\n
"It's super eventful, but I'm super lucky to be able to live this life.\ufeff It's not always easy, there's hardships … but it's a massive learning opportunity and I'm super grateful … It was a dream since I was really, really young, and to be living that now is amazing."<\/p>\n

Guseli spends a lot of time in Laax, a ski resort in the Swiss alps which, in his view, has "the best halfpipe in the world".<\/p>\n
"It's insane, it's so crazy," he says.<\/p>\n
"I\ufefff you're up the hill and you're looking down the hill, out to the left is this big rockface that's full of different, really bright colours, and there's mountains in the background that go from snow to green grass. It's so beautiful."<\/p>\n
He says carving up on his snowboard with the epic Swiss scenery all around him makes for a "pretty amazing feeling".<\/p>\n
"It can be a little bit easy to lose that view because it can be quite scary, what we're doing, and quite gnarly, so there are times where even though it's so beautiful around you you're stressing out a little bit," Guseli says.<\/p>\n
"But I think it's important to stay light, stay grateful and remember the big picture."<\/p>\n
He's clear on his career goals.\ufeff<\/p>\n
"\ufeffLong-term goals, I want to be the GOAT [greatest of all time]. I want to win everything," Guseli says, dreaming of dominating the Winter Olympics, World Cup competition and the X Games.<\/p>\n

"I just want to rip it … Since I was very young I've been pretty competitive. It's fun, it's a good challenge, it's what I wake up for every morning. An hour doesn't really go by without me thinking about shredding and pushing myself and seeing what level I can get to … I'm just doing my best to find the best version of myself."\ufeff<\/p>\n
He's also\ufeff passionate about documenting the journey, which is where his videographer comes in.<\/p>\n
"I want to film and get some sick shots," he says.<\/p>\n
