Darren Lockyer<\/a> has revealed how police in Brisbane tracked down his car five days after it was stolen.<\/p>\n

The Maroons<\/a> and Broncos<\/a> legend told Wide World of Sports' QLDER<\/em> he was without his Kia Stinger for five days after he was the victim of an alleged robbery.<\/p>\n

The revelation came after QLDER<\/em> host Adam Jackson mentioned how above all the footy chat on last week's episode, it was Lockyer's appearance in the ad for Kia's new ute<\/a> that got the most attention.<\/p>\n

"It's a decent ad \u2013 a significant amount of talent in there," Lockyer said.<\/p>\n

"I've had a lot of people talk about it since it came out. It's obviously hit the mark, they didn't do things in halves and they've done this one well."<\/p>\n

Jackson then joked about the vigour in which Lockyer pulled into the 9News carpark in Brisbane. Kia is a major sponsor of the Broncos.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"The Stinger goes good \u2013 a lot of police use the Stingers," Lockyer said with a smile.<\/p>\n

"Mine was actually nicked not long ago, but the police did some great work and got it back to me about five days after, before too much damage was done.<\/p>\n

"Bit of a shout-out to the police \u2013 they did their stealth investigation, found it and brought it back to me."<\/p>\n

The Kia ad, which featured a slew of Australian sporting talent \u2013 but notably not a ute \u2013 has racked up close to 200,000 views on YouTube.<\/p>\n

Lockyer appears alongside Steve Waugh, Buddy Franklin<\/a>, Ash Barty, Jessica Watson\ufeff, Alexander Volkanovski and Mackenzie Arnold among others.<\/p>\n
