Australian-born punter Nick McLarty has a big leg, one that he showed off last year during a 90-yard punt.<\/p>\n

McLarty, who looks more like an edge rusher, joined Ohio State<\/a> this weekend as part of their 2024 recruiting class. He went viral this past fall for booming a punt that went outside the stadium.<\/p>\n

The video received almost 500,000 views on X, the social media platform that was formerly known as Twitter.<\/p>\n

Even if this isn’t exactly 90 yards, it is still beyond impressive. Now can that translate to a game?<\/p>\n

Truthfully, given how good their offense is, Ohio State will rarely if ever have to punt the ball this distance. Only when they’re playing Michigan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Too soon, Ohio State fans?<\/p>\n

Can McLarty directionally kick? That might be the bigger question, especially when an Ohio State drive stalls near midfield and the Buckeyes want to play for field position.<\/p>\n
