The Sydney Roosters<\/a> are reportedly plotting another raid on rugby union with speculation around interest in young gun Max Jorgensen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jorgensen was a shock addition to former Wallabies coach Eddie Jones<\/a>' World Cup squad but fractured his fibula during the tournament and has yet to represent the national side.<\/p>\n

The Roosters are fresh off pillaging the Wallabies squad with the signing of Mark Nawaqanitawase<\/a> after losing Joseph Suaalii to the code.<\/p>\n

Joseph Manu is also set to leave in favour of a move to rugby union, which could be in France.<\/p>\n

9news reporter Danny Weidler revealed the Roosters could make a play for Jorgensen, whose father \ufeffPeter previously played for Easts and the Panthers along with the Wallabies.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffThe name that keeps getting tossed at me in maybe the next 12, 18 to 24 months is Max Jorgensen the rugby player … he's someone they're seriously looking at," he said on Nine's 100% Footy.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Roosters \ufeffare likely to see significant roster turnover in the coming years, with Jared Waerea-Hargreaves on his way to the Super League next season while Angus Crichton is also likely to depart.<\/p>\n

32-year-old Daniel Tupou is also off contract but the club did welcome Dominic Young this season, along with Spencer Leniu.<\/p>\n

Weidler added the club has no interest in disgruntled Dragons outside back Zac Lomax while putting to bed rumours Suaalii could be about to backflip on his Wallabies deal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"Two or three weeks ago I \ufeffchecked this out with Phil Waugh (chief executive of Rugby Australia) who said 'no, we are definitely going to be honouring Joseph's contract'," he said.<\/p>\n
