\ufeffJ\ufeffosh Addo-Carr<\/a> could be set for a stint on the sidelines, with the Bulldogs<\/a> flyer revealing the full extent of an injury suffered against Parramatta<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old was hampered by a shoulder issue for the first-half of Saturday's loss to the Eels,<\/a> but toughed it out for over half an hour before the break.<\/p>\n

The speedster didn't return after half-time, with the initial prognosis claiming Addo-Carr had sustained an AC joint injury in the 26-8 defeat.<\/p>\n

Despite telling The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a> he may have suffered a broken collarbone, the club's head of football Phil Gould has since revealed some positive news.<\/p>\n

"Josh Addo-Carr has been cleared of any fracture," Gould said on social media.<\/p>\n

"He has a significant soft tissue injury. They haven't suggested a return to play date as yet, but I'm told that overall it's good news."<\/p>\n

Addo-Carr told the Herald that he was in "instant pain" following the incident, revealing he couldn't lift his arm before being forced to wear a sling. <\/p>\n

"But the boys needed me to play 40 minutes … you're in the moment, and all I had to do was get through the half.," he said. <\/p>\n

"It's footy. The tackle was shoulder to shoulder. I'll get the scans, then set another goal to get back as quickly as possible \u2013 I'll come back fit and firing."<\/p>\n

Bryce Cartwright was placed on report for the incident, but it's not expected the Eels back-rower will be suspended given the lack of high contact involved.<\/p>\n

Dogs coach Cameron Ciraldo<\/a> praised his star flyer for the brave effort shown and defended the decision to leave Addo-Carr on the field.<\/p>\n
