Parramatta<\/a> has earned a dominant 26-8 victory over old rivals Canterbury<\/a>, with star winger Josh Addo-Carr<\/a> suffering a shoulder injury in a further blow for the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n

Carnage struck both sides early in the first half as Addo-Carr and opposing halfback Mitchell Moses<\/a> battled through issues, but the Canterbury flyer was unable to return after the break due to a suspected AC joint injury.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old was on the receiving end of a huge shot from Bryce Cartwright in the opening stages and never recovered, with the decision made to withdraw the State of Origin superstar at half-time.<\/p>\n

Addo-Carr was spotted in a sling late in the match as he watched from the sidelines.<\/p>\n

"He's not great – he is going for scans tonight," Cameron Ciraldo said post-game.<\/p>\n

"He could have something broken up in the shoulder \u2026 it was really tough of him to play up until half-time. We've got a lot of versatile players and that came in handy tonight. <\/p>\n

"I didn't know it was that bad until half-time and you've got to play injured at times. It's a massive testament to his courage and him putting the team first.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"I thought we were tough and gritty – but we killed ourselves at times with errors and penalties. I couldn't be happier with some of the things I saw out there<\/p>\n

"But obviously, the scoreboard didn't go in our favour."<\/p>\n

Moses was hampered by a groin complaint sustained inside the first 20 minutes, handing the goal-kicking duties to Clint Gutherson and forcing Dylan Brown to take up the majority of the general-play kicking for the hosts.<\/p>\n

The halfback was forced to relinquish the goal-kicking duties to Clint Gutherson but returned to the field after the \ufeffmain break and was nursed through the second half.<\/p>\n

"It was a very physical game," Moses told Fox League post-game.<\/p>\n

"I just tweaked my groin kicking for touch – I don't know, I just told Dyl [Brown] yo kick for the rest of it and I thought he did a great job there.<\/p>\n

"I just needed to get the boys around the park and get Dyl to kick us out of trouble.<\/p>\n

"I'll be right, I'll be sweet."<\/p>\n

Canterbury's defence was put under pressure early\ufeff as tries from \ufeffMorgan Harper and Cartwright thrilled the capacity crowd at CommBank Stadium, taking a 14-point lead into half time with a remarkable completion rate of 100 per cent.<\/p>\n

Cartwright\ufeff soon picked up a double, before young gun Blake Wilson and new recruit Stephen Crichton scored late consolation tries for the Dogs.<\/p>\n

The latter \ufeffsaw Crichton link up with former Panthers teammate Viliame Kikau to score his first try in his new colours.<\/p>\n

Parramatta put the icing on the cake with a couple of minutes remaining however as Bailey Simonsson sealed the result with a try next to the posts.<\/p>\n

Adding to the Bulldogs' woes, Kikau was also placed on report for a dangerous second-half incident with Brown.<\/p>\n
