T\ufeffo rub salt into the Demons<\/a>' wounds after their 22-point opening round loss to the Swans<\/a>, the team's return to Melbourne was forced to turn back mid-flight because of a technical issue on the aircraft. <\/p>\n

According to 9News' Tom Morris, 20 minutes into the team's flight home with Virgin Australia on Friday morning, their plane experienced technical issues.<\/p>\n

As a result, the plane had to \ufeffturn around and land back at Sydney Airport.<\/p>\n

The Demons then had to wait around for another flight in the early afternoon, but have since landed back in Melbourne.<\/p>\n
