The groin injury that has ruled Cameron Munster<\/a> out of Friday night's clash with the Panthers<\/a> is a major concern for the Storm<\/a>, according to Andrew Johns<\/a>, who warned that "you carry them all year" if the treatment plan isn't right.<\/p>\n

Munster was on Thursday ruled out of the blockbuster clash at AAMI Park after failing to recover from a slip in the shower.<\/p>\n

Johns and Brad Fittler<\/a> played through groin injuries at stages of their careers, with \ufeffboth acknowledging that the discomfort can linger and make it difficult for players carrying them to play to their potential.<\/p>\n

Both Johns and Fittler told Wide World of Sports' Freddy and the Eighth's Tips<\/em><\/a> they were leaning towards tipping the Storm, who have never lost a round one game under coach Craig Bellamy, before Munster's omission was confirmed.<\/p>\n

"It's disappointing for us and for Cameron, as he's done everything asked of him but it hasn't got good enough for him to play," Bellamy told media on Thursday. "One day it looks like he's going to play and then the next day it doesn't so I don't think anyone's exactly sure of what it is or how to fix it." <\/p>\n

Bellamy said Jonah Pezet and Tyran Wishart were under consideration to replace Munster. <\/p>\n

"We tried a couple of guys there today (during Thursday's captain's run) – Tyran Wishart is our 14 so he can play a couple of positions and young Jonah's played our trials so we will have a look after training and make a decision from there," Bellamy said. <\/p>\n

"I'm really confident both of them could get the job done."\ufeff<\/p>\n
