Manchester City<\/a> haven't been beaten for more than three months, and that streak continued against Copenhagen in a 3-1 win at home.<\/p>\n

Copenhagen came into the match needing a massive win to overcome a 3-1 deficit after their UEFA Champions League<\/a> leg one loss.<\/p>\n

However, quickfire goals in the fifth and ninth minute condemned any slim hopes they had.<\/p>\n

It was the worst possible start for Copenhagen when Manuel Akanji slotted the ball into the goal off the back of a corner kick.<\/p>\n

Another corner led to the second goal when Rodrigo headed the ball into the crossbar before a clearing kick landed at the feet of Julian Alvarez who fired the ball at the goalkeeper.<\/p>\n

"What a mistake from the soon-to-be departing goalkeeper of Copenhagen," said commentator and former England goalkeeper Paul Wilkinson.<\/p>\n

A long pass downfield to Erling Haaland put him in position to score, even with three defenders surrounding him.<\/p>\n

The Norwegian sensation found a gap and with his left boot scored the third and final goal of the match.<\/p>\n

With victory, Manchester City continued its unbeaten streak against Danish sides in the UEFA Champions League dating back to 2008.<\/p>\n

In the morning's other match, Real Madrid drew with RB Leipzig to go through to the quarter-finals on aggregate, 2-1.<\/p>\n

It wasn't until the 65th minute that the deadlock was broken with Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham breaking clear to sprint down the field.<\/p>\n

Vinicius Junior drifted across in front of him, receiving the ball from Bellingham before firing the ball into the goal for a 1-0 lead.<\/p>\n

RB Leipzig fired back almost immediately, however. In the 68th minute, Willi Orban headed a ball into the goal.<\/p>\n

The score stayed level at 1-1, doing enough for Real Madrid to progress.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The second leg of the round of 16 continues on March 13 with Arsenal playing Porto (0-1) and Barcelona against Napoli (1-1).<\/p>\n
