NRL<\/a> great Corey Parker<\/a> has confirmed he is "okay" after claiming he has "no doubt" he is suffering symptoms of CTE.<\/p>\n

The Broncos<\/a> and Queensland Origin<\/a> legend made the revelation while speaking on SEN Q Breakfast last week.<\/p>\n

Parker thanked those who have reached out to him since his original comments<\/a>, declaring he felt "overwhelmed" by the support he has been receiving.<\/p>\n

"I was overwhelmed with some of the feedback and comments and people reaching out, which was terrific," Parker said on Triple M's Rush Hour with AB & Elliott on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The Broncos legend, who played 347 games for the club, \ufeffadmitted again that he has symptoms that could point towards CTE.<\/p>\n

"I do display symptoms of you know, what you could class as CTE and that being memory loss from time to time and a few other things."<\/p>\n

Symptoms of CTE can include confusion, headache, general slowness of thinking, as well as sleep disturbances or unpredictable mood swings.<\/p>\n

However,\ufeff he ensured everyone that he is "okay", despite suffering from memory loss.<\/p>\n

"I will just make it clear, I am okay," Parker said.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old was Broncos skipper in 2016 \u2013 the 16th and final final season of his career. <\/p>\n

He also made 19 Origin appearances for the Maroons, and now works as a commentator for Fox Sports.<\/p>\n

Parker explained that he knew the risk he was taking when he chose to play the game, particularly after continuing to suit up after many head knocks.<\/p>\n

"I do understand … the ramifications of playing for such a long period of time, you gotta be naive to think there's no side effects," he said.<\/p>\n

Parker's admission came on the same morning fellow Maroons great Wally Lewis<\/a> helped launch a new CTE-awareness campaign, 'You Only Get One Brain', at Parliament House in Canberra.\ufeff<\/p>\n
