Latrell Mitchell<\/a> has called for Spencer Leniu to miss more than half the NRL<\/a> season for an alleged racist slur, should the allegation be proven.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe Roosters<\/a> prop has been ordered to front the NRL judiciary over allegations he called Broncos playmaker Ezra Mam a "monkey"<\/a> during Sunday's game.<\/p>\n

Given a grade hasn't been linked to the charge it's purely speculation as to how long Leniu may be banned for.<\/p>\n

A first offence grade three contrary conduct charge carries a four-week suspension, which can be lowered to three weeks with a guilty plea.<\/p>\n

\ufeffBut leading NRL commentator Andrew Voss believes Leniu should miss considerably more than that.<\/p>\n

"I reckon half the season might be the sentence," Voss said on his SEN radio show.<\/p>\n

"I think it's minimum eight weeks, it could be 12, but they may go more."<\/p>\n

When a graphic with the Voss quote was posted to Instagram, South Sydney star Mitchell screenshotted it \ufeffand wrote "and some…" underneath.<\/p>\n

Mitchell clearly believes Leniu should miss more than half the season over the incident, if found guilty.<\/p>\n

With each team to play 24 games this regular season, a 12-week suspension would be exactly half.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The Rabbitohs and Indigenous All Stars gun had already called on the NRL to "deal with this shit" in response to the Leniu allegations on Sunday.<\/p>\n

A number of other NRL players have joined Mitchell in speaking out against Leniu, who brushed off the incident in Las Vegas as "banter".<\/p>\n

Leniu was later involved in an altercation with Broncos players in a team hotel.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"It's just not acceptable on any level," Cowboys veteran Chad Townsend told Triple M radio on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

"There's just no place (for it) in this society, in sport, anywhere.<\/p>\n

"If found guilty, I hope it's a harsh punishment."<\/p>\n

The NRL has not confirmed when Leniu will front the judiciary, given the Roosters are flying back from Vegas.<\/p>\n
