N\ufeffew Sydney<\/a> recruit Taylor Adams<\/a> has faced another bout of bad luck, being ruled out for up to four weeks with a medial ligament strain in his left knee.<\/p>\n

The former Collingwood midfielder, who missed out on the Magpies' four-point grand final victory<\/a> over Brisbane due to a hamstring injury sustained on the eve of the finals<\/a>went down during the Swans practice match against Brisbane on Friday night.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old was sent for scans on Saturday, confirming the\ufeff bad news over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Adams has had a horror run with injuries, ripping his groin off the bone during Collingwood's 2022 finals campaign, before last year's heartbreak.<\/p>\n

The Swans initially played down the injury concern, despite ruling Adams out of the match immediately after he came to the bench.<\/p>\n

He has played 206 games across his career that began at GWS before his move to the Pies.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Before the Swans pre season campaign\ufeff, the veteran spoke of the pain he has been dealing with since missing the Pies' 16th V\/AFL premiership last September.<\/p>\n

"I don't think I'll ever fully get over that (missing the grand final)\ufeff," Adams said in December last year.<\/p>\n

"It's not just me, it's my family, my support network, people at the footy club who put so much time and effort in and then you fall one hurdle short.<\/p>\n

"It's heartbreaking, and it was so bittersweet because there were so many people at the footy club who I've been side by side with for so many years who I knew deserved it, and I was extremely happy for them."<\/p>\n

The new Swan, who joined former Pies teammate Brodie Grundy<\/a> up at Sydney, will have to wait a little \ufeffwhile longer to play alongside the ruckman, who left Melbourne after a failed experiment as the Dees' second ruckman behind Max Gawn<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meantime, Sydney has been dealt another blow, with former captain Luke Parker being ruled out for up to a month after having surgery on a broken arm last week.<\/p>\n
