Josh Hazlewood<\/a> and Cameron Green<\/a> have been involved in a bizarre mix-up during Australia<\/a>'s first innings against New Zealand<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the midst of a strong partnership – mostly led by Green – for the 10th wicket, that pushed the visitors past the 300-run mark at Wellington's Basin Reserve, the due had a horrific miscommunication early on day two.<\/p>\n

Green and Hazlewood clearly weren't on the same page \ufeffafter the No.11 played a nice shot on the leg-side.<\/p>\n

Both men took off, before stopping mid-pitch and turning around, despite the ball travelling out towards the boundary.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI reckon Hazlewood has (said to Green) 'geez that looked bad, didn't it?" Brendon Julian said during commentary.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffWhat happened there? Why didn't we run? Why didn't we do anything? What's the plan, Cam? \ufeffI think Cam Green is saying 'mate that was such a good shot off your toes, it confused me'. They sort of ran one and a half anyway, but didn't get anything for it\ufeff.<\/p>\n

"It's a run down there, turn around, run back – sort of a 2, maybe a 1.8… but got zero."\ufeff<\/p>\n

The umpires briefly deliberated over the unique situation, before deciding that no runs would be awarded to the Aussies. \ufeff<\/p>\n
