T\ufeffeen superstar Harry Sheezel has inked a monster contract extension with North Melbourne<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old has committed to the Kangaroos until the end of 2030, extending his contract by four years.<\/p>\n

The club announced it Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

"We're absolutely rapt to have a player and person of Harry's calibre sign on until at least the end of 2030," head of talent Brady Rawlings said.<\/p>\n

"We've loved what we've seen from him so far, and at 19, he's only scratched the surface of what he's capable of.<\/p>\n

"His decision to join the likes of Jy Simpkin and Nick Larkey in committing to the club long-term is a great show of confidence in the future of the club, and we can't wait to see what the next seven years hold with him here."<\/p>\n

Sheezel was last year's AFL rising star after being taken with pick No.3 of the 2022 draft.<\/p>\n

He played all 22 games in his debut year and won the club's best and fairest medal.<\/p>\n

He collected 622 disposals for the year – setting a new record for the most disposals in a debut VFL\/AFL home and away season.<\/p>\n

"I love the club and wouldn't want to go anywhere else," Sheezel said on Thursday.<\/p>\n

"Ever since I walked in the door, I've just loved the place \u2013 the players, the coaching staff and just the whole environment at the club.<\/p>\n

"They've made me and my family feel so welcome."\ufeff<\/p>\n

Sheezel's is now the fourth longest current contract in the AFL, behind only Bulldogs forward Aaron Naughton, Port Adelaide skipper Connor Rozee, and Sydney's Nick Blakey\ufeff.<\/p>\n
