R\ufeffichmond<\/a> has suffered a huge injury blow on the eve of their 2024 campaign, with midfielder Jack Graham<\/a> suffering a quad injury.<\/p>\n

Graham went down in the dying seconds of the Tigers' 30-point loss to Collingwood on Tuesday night, with scans on Wednesday revealing the 25-year-old suffered a moderate quad strain.<\/p>\n

It officially rules him out of Richmond's lineup for three to five weeks.<\/p>\n

The injury to their two-time premiership star adds salt to the wound, after coming under fire for poor kicking in their loss.<\/p>\n

The Tigers kicked a wasteful 5.16 in the inaugural 'Charity Shield' match for FoodBank.<\/p>\n

Collingwood was also wasteful in front of goal, booting 10.16 in the win.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Before the match, new Tigers coach Adem Yze<\/a> declared that if\ufeff his side remains "fit" and "healthy" it will able to compete with the best of the league.<\/p>\n

"Hopefully\ufeff, if all things go to plan [we can play finals]," Yze told 9News Melbourne.<\/p>\n

"If we've got everyone available\ufeff, we feel like we can be competitive against anyone."<\/p>\n

Meantime, superstar triple Norm Smith medallist Dustin Martin had 18 touches, in a first glimpse of his new role as the Tigers manage him at the back end of his career.<\/p>\n

"He'll do both [forward and midfield time]\ufeff. He'll get some opportunity to go inside as he has been training all pre-season," Yze said.<\/p>\n

"Him and Shai [Bolton] will get ample opportunity to do both\ufeff."<\/p>\n
