Smith is only two matches into the job after he put his hand up to replace David Warner at the top of the order following the latter's retirement.<\/p>\n

Green is also coming off a handy innings, hitting 42 to be Australia's next best behind Smith during the shock Gabba loss.<\/p>\n

\ufeffCummins' reveal on Wednesday means Australia will field the same bowling line-up for a sixth straight Test – a remarkable feat given the ages of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Nathan Lyon.<\/p>\n

The Black Caps would not confirm their XI at the press conference on Wednesday, but opening batter Devon Conway has been ruled out with a thumb injury<\/a>.\ufeff<\/p>\n
