Sprint trainer to the stars, Roger Fabri, believes NRL<\/a> clubs would be mad not to snap up veteran Wallaby Kurtley Beale<\/a> for this season.<\/p>\n

Fabri has been personally training Beale, who remarkably revealed to him that he had never done specialist sprint training in his long career in rugby union<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"I couldn't believe it when he told me that," Fabri told Wide World of Sports.<\/p>\n

"And because of that, I was able to achieve remarkable results with him – probably the highest improvement over 60 metres I have ever managed with any athlete.<\/p>\n

\"Kurtley<\/p>\n

"That's pretty amazing for a 35-year-old but he was born with genetic speed and we just developed it\u2026 because he was never taught it properly.<\/p>\n

"Add to that his undoubted skills with the ball and I think NRL clubs would be crazy not to at least give him a trial.<\/p>\n

"There is a shortage of class halfbacks in the NRL and Kurtley is definitely curious about giving it a go\u2026 what's there to lose?"<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Beale was found not guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in a Sydney pub bathroom and is now weighing up his options for returning to football.<\/p>\n

SEIBOLD AHEAD OF THE GAME IN VEGAS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Manly<\/a> coach Anthony Seibold<\/a> has revealed that the Sea Eagles have been preparing for Allegiant Stadium's shorter dimensions for many weeks back in Sydney.<\/p>\n

The four teams playing in Vegas will have to contend with a field that is some five metres less than regulation width and there are fears that this will catch the teams off guard.<\/p>\n

But the astute Seibold has had his teams training on a smaller field for some time.<\/p>\n

"The shorter field will definitely be a factor and will take the players some time to get used to," Seibold told Wide World of Sports in Vegas in the lead-up to the big clash with Souths.<\/p>\n

"For kicking, for spreading the ball, it will make a difference and we had a series of sessions back home on a specially modified field, and then a couple of sessions here as well.<\/p>\n

"Both teams have some great finishers and I'm still confident there will be plenty of attacking opportunities."<\/p>\n

CLUBS CHASING NRL JOURNEYMAN\ufeff<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Three NRL clubs are showing interest in former Cowboys<\/a> John Asiata.<\/p>\n

Talented ball playing forward Asiata debuted a decade ago for the Cowboys, playing over 100 games for the club.<\/p>\n

He then had a year with the Broncos before moving to England, where he has played the past two seasons with the Leigh club, standing out in Super League.<\/p>\n

Now 30, Asiata is off contract at the end of the year and ready to come home, with NRL clubs already showing interest in his services.<\/p>\n

DRAGONS YOUNG GUN CAUSES A STIR\ufeff<\/strong><\/h3>\n

My item last week about Dragons SG Ball Cup speedster Jesse Williams scoring seven tries in the opening three rounds of the competition has certainly created a stir.<\/p>\n

Two rival clubs have let it be known that they are interested in chatting to the 18-year-old, who comes off contract at the end of 2025.<\/p>\n

Under NRL rules, the clubs can't talk terms with Williams until this November.<\/p>\n

That gives the Dragons nearly nine months to get the prolific youngster under lock and key on a long term deal.<\/p>\n
