Brazilian \ufeffgiant Renan Ferreira took just 21 seconds to knock out Ryan Bader before calling out Francis Ngannou to make his PFL debut.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 203cm \ufeffFerreira knocked Bader down with a right hand before ending the PFL vs Bellator main event fight on the ground in Riyadh.<\/p>\n

Superstar \ufeffNgannou was watching on in Saudi Arabia and said beforehand that he would fight the winner following his boxing bout with Anthony Joshua next month.<\/p>\n

Ferreira hoisted his 'super belt' flanked by boxing icon Mike Tyson.<\/p>\n

Tyson was Ngannou's idol as he grew up in Cameroon and the two trained together ahead of his fight with Tyson Fury.<\/p>\n

"He's just a force to be reckoned with," Tyson said of Ngannou.<\/p>\n

"He's just a natural. He's just a phenomenon. Maybe we use that word too often these days. Maybe it's a juggernaut. He's just very special."<\/p>\n

Tyson hosted 'Mike Tyson's New Fight Game: The PFL' and presented winners with special belts that included removable rings.<\/p>\n

"I thought it was a no brainer," Tyson said.<\/p>\n

PFL is the only MMA organisation where fighters compete in a regular season, playoffs, and championship each year.<\/p>\n

Ngannou is the centrepiece of PFL's expected growth.<\/p>\n

He was UFC heavyweight champion when contract talks collapsed last year with the company once the African fighter said his demands for health insurance and personal sponsorships were rejected.<\/p>\n

UFC President Dana White stripped Ngannou of the belt in 2023.<\/p>\n

Ngannou reached a deal with PFL last May that included a role as chairman and equity owner in PFL Africa.<\/p>\n

Ngannou had put MMA on the backburner following his dalliance with boxing.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old fighter floored boxing pundits when he took reigning WBC heavyweight champion Fury the 10 round distance.<\/p>\n

Ngannou narrowly lost the fight in Saudi Arabia in front of a crowd that included Kanye West, Eminem and Cristiano Ronaldo.<\/p>\n

In lightweight action, Biaggio Ali Walsh – the grandson of boxing legend Muhammad Ali – stepped into the PFL SmartCage for the first time as a professional against Argentina's Emmanuel Palacio.<\/p>\n

Ali Walsh dominated with his grappling and walked away with a unanimous decision win.<\/p>\n

Two time Olympic gold medallist Claressa Shields weathered the early submission attempts from the powerful Kelsey De Santis.<\/p>\n

Shields regrouped to win a closely contested split decision.<\/p>\n
