Brisbane<\/a> has locked in veteran halfback and captain Adam Reynolds<\/a> for one more year.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old has agreed to a one-year extension which the Broncos are poised to announce by the end of this week, according to 9News reporter Ben Dobbin.<\/p>\n

It means he will suit up for a 14th season in the NRL\ufeff<\/a> as Reynolds strives to bring the Queensland capital its first rugby league premiership since 2006.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffThis is great news for the captain and great news for the Broncos," Dobbin told 9News.<\/p>\n

"The deal is done\ufeff, expect the Broncos to make this announcement when they land in Los Angeles in the coming days."<\/p>\n

Reynolds is flying to Las Vegas for the Broncos' opening round clash with the Roosters on Sunday week.<\/p>\n

The 2014 title winner is said to be earning $800,000 this season but reports claim he has accepted a significant pay cut to play in 2025.\ufeff<\/p>\n

A fortnight ago Reynolds explained to Wide World of Sports why he was happy to sacrifice some dollars.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"It's all right, you've got to sort of do that when you get to my age to keep the players in the squad," he said.<\/p>\n

"We've got a lot of great talent in the team and if it means taking a bit of a haircut I'm more than happy to do that if it means keeping this club heading in the right direction.<\/p>\n

"The club's in good hands, it's certainly heading in the right direction.<\/p>\n

"There's no reason this club can't have the success it had back in the day, and that's what we're trying to achieve here."<\/p>\n

Reynolds won the 2014 grand final with South Sydney and played 231 games for his beloved Bunnies across a decade.<\/p>\n
