Victoria Azarenka's<\/a> feud with Jelena Ostapenka<\/a> has reignited at the Qatar Open in strange post-match scenes.<\/p>\n

Azarenka walked away with a straight-sets win, taking it out 6-0, 6-3 in Doha.<\/p>\n

After the round of 16 match, the pair met at the net where Ostapenko opted not to offer her hand for a routine handshake. Instead, she raised her racquet.<\/p>\n

Azarenka ignored whatever attempt Ostapenko was making and instead shook the hand of the chair umpire. Azarenka then waved to the crowd.<\/p>\n

Moments after the win, Azarenka pointed at her head as she looked at her player's box.<\/p>\n

Exactly why Ostapenko raised her racquet instead of shaking Azarenka's hand is not known.<\/p>\n

It marked the fourth win from four contests for Azarenka over Ostapenko.<\/p>\n

The Latvian was far from her best, incurring a whopping 49 unforced errors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ostapenko is no stranger to controversy. Earlier this year at the Australian Open she was on the receiving end of a barb from Azarenka.<\/p>\n

"I think it's something you kind of expect," Azarenka said of Ostapenko's on-court behaviour.<\/p>\n

"She's doing what she's doing. It's actually interesting because I feel like it doesn't necessarily always affect her. When she's winning, she's like this; when she's losing, she's like this. I think it's just how she deals with herself on the court.<\/p>\n

"I can't speak for how she feels and why she does it. Some of (Ostapenko's) line callings, I mean, it can be a bit comical \u2026 I just think that's how she is. I don't necessarily judge. I'm just there to play a match."<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
