Red Bull<\/a> team principal Christian Horner<\/a> will attend \ufeffthe team's car launch on Friday despite being the subject of an ongoing investigation into misconduct allegations.<\/p>\n

Last week, an independent investigation was launched after a female team employee \ufeffaccused Horner of inappropriate and controlling behaviour in his role<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Further details surrounding the charges have not been released.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Horner has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and is permitted to continue working during the investigation.<\/p>\n

In light of the controversy, Red Bull has made no changes to its season launch as it prepares to unveil its 2024 F1<\/a> challenger, the RB20.<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old is expected to address the media for the first time since news of the allegations broke, although he will likely bat away any questions relating to the outcome of the investigation as it is still active.<\/p>\n

Last Friday, \ufeffHorner was probed by an external specialist barrister<\/a> in London about the charges for several hours with no outcome.<\/p>\n

The investigation, speared by Red Bull Racing's parent company Red Bull GmbH, could take weeks to settle \u2014 bleeding into the team's launch at its Milton Keynes headquarters and overshadowing pre-season testing and even the season-opening race in Bahrain on March 3.<\/p>\n

Asked to comment on the hearing on Friday, Red Bull said: "It would not be appropriate to comment before the investigation is completed".<\/p>\n

Depending the findings from the investigation, it is believed that Horner could be shown the door<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Horner has served as the team principal at Red Bull Racing since the team debuted in the class in 2005, making him the longest-serving boss on the grid.<\/p>\n

He has overseen seven drivers' world championships and six constructors' titles between 2010 and 2023.<\/p>\n

Horner \ufeffwas present at a behind-closed-doors shakedown at Silverstone on Tuesday as the team prepares to claim its third straight constructors' title and a fourth consecutive world championship with Max Verstappen.<\/p>\n

The investigation is also taking place amid reports of tension within the Red Bull set-up.<\/p>\n

Among this are claims the relationship between motorsport adviser Helmut Marko and Jos Verstappen \u2014 the father of world champion driver Max \u2014 has soured with Horner.<\/p>\n

\ufeffDutch newspaper De Telegraaf was the first to hear of the allegations against Horner, leading to rampant speculation that the information was passed on from within Red Bull's four walls.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Austrian newspaper OE24 on Wednesday, \ufeffMarko hoped that the team's off-track "turbulence" would be dealt with as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

"I hope that we can get our turbulence under control quickly," he said.<\/p>\n

"Fortunately, our car is ready and we are well prepared."<\/p>\n

Red Bull and Verstappen have not yet addressed the matter publicly.<\/p>\n
