David Warner<\/a> has confirmed he's played his last international match in Australia<\/a> after he was player of the series against the West Indies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The legendary opener officially retired from Test and ODI cricket in January \ufeffbut there was still uncertainty around his T20I future.<\/p>\n

Now it's been confirmed, with the 37-year-old stating post-match his last series will be the T20 World Cup, if selected. \ufeff<\/p>\n

\ufeff"I'm well and truly done, it's time for \ufeffthe youngsters to come through and showcase their talent," he said.<\/p>\n

"We've got extreme talent here, a lot of the guys from Perth are in the team at the moment. We're in good stead for the future."<\/p>\n

Pressed by Adam Gilchrist if that's confirmation he's officially farewelled Australia, Warner was direct. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Indeed, yes."\ufeff<\/p>\n

The opener finished the series with 173 runs, hitting 70, 22 and 81 in \ufeffthe three matches.<\/p>\n

Warner also played his 100th T20I match in the series, becoming the first Australian to pass the century mark in all three formats. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Australian cricket great Mike Hussey \ufeffpaid tribute to Warner, acknowledging there's still more to come from the opener.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffIt's a big moment really … last time we're going to see him in Australian colours on Australian soil," he said on Fox Cricket.<\/p>\n

"Let's hope he's there for the World Cup coming up overseas. He still looks in great touch, he's still fit as ever, charging between the wickets."\ufeff<\/p>\n
