UPDATED:<\/strong> \ufeffGlenn Maxwell<\/a> has once again put on a masterclass, smashing his way to 120 off just 55 balls in Australia<\/a>'s second 34-run win against the West Indies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was Maxwell's fifth T20I century across his decorated career, which puts him equal with India's Rohit Sharma<\/a>, also on five.<\/p>\n

At the Adelaide Oval, the Victorian smashed 20 boundaries off 55 deliveries\ufeff, making 96 runs off his 120 through 4s and 6s alone.<\/p>\n

The veteran batsman's unbeaten total helped Australia to 4-241 after 20 overs before the West Indies could only muster 9-207 in response.<\/p>\n

"Maxwell the magician. A simply brilliant innings, he's put on a show in Adelaide\ufeff," Mark Howard said on Fox.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"They've seen a maestro at work," Adam Gilchrist added\ufeff.<\/p>\n

Gilchrist's praise of the 35-year-old continued after he was rested for the host's recent ODI series against the Windies.<\/p>\n

"He just knows how to turn it on. He just played to all parts of the ground," Gilchrist said on Fox.<\/p>\n

"Every different delivery he was presented with, he seemed to have one, two options to go with. He certainly got himself into the zone.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

\ufeffHis insane innings is the highest ever Australian T20I score on home soil, as well as the fourth highest recorded by an Australian ever.<\/p>\n

Fellow Victorian and former Australian T20 captain Aaron Finch\ufeff<\/a> also declared Maxwell "almost impossible to stop" after yet another commanding performance.<\/p>\n

Maxwell spoke of the enjoyment he felt at the crease, as he propelled Australia to their highest ever T20I score at the Adelaide Oval.<\/p>\n

"I\ufefft was good fun that's for sure … it's a really nice wicket, it's always been good batting here at the Adelaide Oval," Maxwell said.<\/p>\n

"I was trying to give myself the best chance to use my hands to guide it through a gap or over the infield and that really seemed to work for me.<\/p>\n
