A new campaign\ufeff launched by Paralympics Australia ahead of Paris 2024<\/a> has been described by Paralympic gold medallist Rowan Crothers as "really, really incredible".<\/p>\n

Crothers, the winner of the men's 50m and 100m freestyle events at Tokyo 2020, explained on Nine's Today<\/em> what the \ufeff#ImagineWhatWeCanDo campaign, launched with 200 days to go until the Paralympics opening ceremony, meant to him.<\/p>\n

"I'm so excited to be part of it," Crothers said.<\/p>\n

"This campaign is essentially trying to showcase and really capture what Australians and what people with a disability really can do when we take away the barriers and limitations and the expectations that we may place on that. When we really enable people with disability to achieve their best and chase their dreams, we can accomplish some pretty incredible things."<\/p>\n

Crothers will become a three-time Olympian at Paris 2024.<\/p>\n

At Tokyo 2020, the Queenslander\ufeff celebrated his 50m freestyle victory in priceless fashion \u2014 climbing onto a lane rope and going ballistic. The look on his face was one of elation.<\/p>\n

"I think the easy\ufeff way to do better than winning two golds is trying to win three," Crothers said with a laugh.<\/p>\n

"My main event is the 100m freestyle and that's the one that I'm really getting pumped up for and really can't wait to try to do my best in.<\/p>\n

\"Rowan<\/p>\n

"But more important than the medals, I just want to get out there, I want to do my best for Australia and for my whole swimming team and do everyone proud."<\/p>\n

The launch of the campaign comes two days after the reveal of the Paris 2024 medals. Chunks of\ufeff iron taken from the Eiffel Tower are embedded in the gold, silver and bronze medals.<\/p>\n
