Luke Keary<\/a> has signed on for another year at the Sydney Roosters<\/a>, ending speculation repeated concussions would force him out of the game.<\/p>\n

Off-contract at the end of the year, the Roosters half signed a one-year extension that will keep him at Bondi until the end of 2025.<\/p>\n

The 2018 Clive Churchill Medalist suffered four concussions in the space of only 18 months from January 2018. The final of those forced him to take a month off the game.<\/p>\n

Then in 2022, he copped another head knock in the Roosters' round 14 loss to the Storm and spent another month in the stands.<\/p>\n

He began wearing headgear in 2022, and has been an outspoken backer of the NRL's concussion protocols.<\/p>\n

Speculation had been rife for the past year 2024 would be Keary's last.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His re-signing comes on the same day it was confirmed Joseph Manu<\/a> had told the club he intends to leave at the end of the year and go and play rugby in France.<\/a><\/p>\n

A 205-game veteran, he will continue to mentor young halfback Sam Walker, who spent a chunk of last season in NSW Cup having been dropped by coach Trent Robinson.<\/p>\n
