Former superstar AFL<\/a> forward-turned NFL<\/a> punter Sav Rocca says Australians in the NFL can truly "do it all".<\/p>\n

And, with Super Bowl<\/a> 58 right around the corner, San Francisco 49ers<\/a> punter Mitch Wishnowsky, from Perth, will be hoping to make Rocca's words ring true.<\/p>\n

With the 49ers facing off against the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>, \ufeffWishnowsky could become just the second Australian to win a Super Bowl ring, after Jesse Williams achieved it in 2013 with the Seattle Seahawks (Williams got a ring despite not playing all season due to injury).<\/p>\n

Rocca believes Wishnowsky has what it takes to help the 49ers stop the Chiefs, the reigning champions, and take home a special victory.<\/p>\n

The Collingwood and North Melbourne champion, who played 257 AFL games, finished his career and jetted off to join the Philledelphia Eagles from 2007 to 2010.<\/p>\n

After that, Rocca punted for the Washington Redskins from 2011 to 2013.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Aussie guys can do it all. We can run right, kick left, spiral. We can do lots of things," Rocca said at the Super Bowl launch at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

"Bananas are now introduced into the college system. Coaches love that. It makes it so hard for defences to come at you with anything, because you can do … multiple things as a punter."<\/p>\n

Wishnowsky, who was a Perth tradie before becoming a punter, joined San Francisco in 2019, \ufeffplaying in the side's losing Super Bowl campaign to the Chiefs in 2020.<\/p>\n

\ufeff\ufeffHowever, he is ready to write a fresh chapter in his Super Bowl history, this time including a ring.<\/p>\n

"So pumped, can't be happier," Wishnowsky told 9News<\/em>.<\/p>\n

If the 31-year-old Aussie and his team do win the Super Bowl, Wishnowsky explained who \ufeffhe'd love to share the moment with.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"That'd be great (to win). You think about the Super Bowl and it's like, if you win, who do you want to share that moment with?," Wishnowsky said.<\/p>\n

"Obviously that's Mum\ufeff, Dad and Sam, my best mate."<\/p>\n

As for Rocca's experience of the Super Bowl, despite never playing in one during his time in the US, he has still felt the growth after returning home.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"It's certainly growing. When I first came back from the US to Australia, the Super Bowl, I'd be watching at home, watching the telly," Rocca said.<\/p>\n

"It wasn't open to many people to put on events. Now, I'm getting calls five months out to have something on and appearances\ufeff. People are talking about it. Every Monday guys are talking when games are on. It's become really big.\ufeff"<\/p>\n
