After just five months together, Boris Becker<\/a> has ended his tenure as Holger Rune's<\/a> coach.<\/p>\n

Becker, a six-time grand slam winner, joined the Holger camp in October last year on a short-term deal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Initially the pair had only planned to work together until the end of November. However, Becker confirmed the duo would not continue their partnership.<\/p>\n

Taking to social media, the German legend said he couldn't commit enough time to the Danish up-and-comer.<\/p>\n

"I would like to inform you that I will step down as the head coach of Holger Rune with immediate effect," he wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"We started this partnership with the initial goal to reach the ATP Finals end of last year but moving forward I realised that in order for this to be successful, I would need to be available for Holger much more than I can.<\/p>\n

"Due to professional and private responsibilities, I can't give Holger what he needs now.<\/p>\n

"I wish him only the very best and I'm always going to be his No.1 fan.<\/p>\n

"I truly appreciated this journey together."<\/p>\n

Rune is the world No.7 in the ATP rankings.<\/p>\n
