N\ufeffFL<\/a> chief Roger Goodell has rubbished the conspiracy theories surrounding Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl<\/a>, describing them as "nonsense" ahead of the big game.<\/p>\n

The popstar's relationship with Chiefs<\/a> tight-end Travis Kelce has taken the league – and the world – by storm this season, with the Grammy award winner spotted in private boxes during numerous Kansas City games. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Swift even took to the field following the side's AFC Championship victory over the Baltimore Ravens<\/a>, giving her partner a kiss as cameras flocked the pair.<\/p>\n

But with theories circulating online regarding Swift's influence on the Chiefs' showdown with San Francisco<\/a> ranging from match-fixing allegations to full-blown political agendas ahead of this year's US election, Goodell was forced to get on the front-foot at Tuesday's opening day.<\/p>\n

"Anybody in society in a public position is subject to criticism – but I think the idea that this is within a script, this is pre-planned, is just nonsense.<\/p>\n

"It's frankly not even worth talking about. I'm not that good a scripter."\ufeff<\/p>\n

Given the global status that Swift holds and the new audience she has brought to the NFL due to her romance with Kelce, this year's decider looms as potentially being the highest-rated in the league's history.<\/p>\n

And according to the long-time commissioner, that can only be seen as a good thing.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"She's a remarkable performer … she's the best of the best," Goodell said.<\/p>\n

"The Taylor Swift effect is all positive. Travis and Taylor are wonderful young people. They seem very happy. She knows great entertainment and I think that's why she loves NFL football. It's great to have her part of it.<\/p>\n

"Obviously, it creates buzz. Another group of young fans, particularly young women, are interested [in the Super Bowl]."<\/p>\n
