With James Tedesco<\/a>, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Daniel Tupou and Luke Keary all in the veteran stage, 2024 represents probably the last opportunity for this Roosters squad to win another premiership together.<\/p>\n

It's now or never with the ageing Roosters<\/a> roster primed for a hard reset in 2025, with new blood certain to come in to give the club a fresher, younger look.<\/p>\n

The Roosters have the talent for a top four finish and the way they ended last season is certain to give the group confidence of a better showing this year.<\/p>\n

After a slow start that seemed destined to cost them any chance of finals football, Trent Robinson<\/a>'s men came good under pressure, winning six straight games to make it into the second weekend of finals footy.<\/p>\n

As always, the Roosters have bought well and Dominic Young<\/a> (Knights) and Spencer Leniu (Panthers) are two world-class players who will add strike power – out wide and up the middle respectively.<\/p>\n

Will lack of depth bite the Roosters?<\/h2>\n

As mentioned above, the club bought two superb players – but had to let seven players with top grade experience go to get their salary cap in order.<\/p>\n

Fletcher Baker (Broncos), Jaxson Paulo (Sea Eagles), Paul Momirovski (Leeds Rhinos), Drew Hutchison (Bulldogs), Jake Turpin (Bulldogs), Corey Allan (Dragons) and Nathan Brown (Sea Eagles) all played first grade last season and their departures leave some holes should injury strike.<\/p>\n

Injuries and suspensions have been cruel to the Roosters in recent seasons and should they hit the club again, Robinson could be scrambling to field a competitive 17 – especially around State of Origin time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
