The all-rounder hit 69 off 63 deliveries at the Sydney Cricket Ground, nailing four maximums to bring the host's final score to 9-258 on Sunday.<\/p>\n

But during the midst of his innings, one of Abbott's shots flew into the members stand and collected a fan in the face.<\/p>\n

The young man was spotted clutching his head after the unfortunate incident, with blood beginning to spill under his eye.<\/p>\n

Steve Smith (5) and Josh Inglis both failed to land a big score and were dismissed for single-digits, while the likes of Aaron Hardie (26) \ufeffand Matt Short (41) had solid displays in the middle-order but were unable to go on with the job.<\/p>\n
