Liberty Media could soon add a fourth Formula 1<\/a> race in the United States to the calendar.<\/p>\n

Chicago has been tipped to host a race on its streets after trademarks were filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for Formula 1 Grand Prix of Chicago, Grand Prix of Chicago, Chicago Grand Prix, and Formula 1 Chicago Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

F1 already has three races across Austin, Miami, and Las Vegas. The former is held at Circuit of the Americas while the latter pair takes place on the respective city streets.<\/p>\n

F1 has enjoyed a boom in popularity in the USA thanks to Netflix and its fly-on-the-wall Drive To Survive docuseries.<\/p>\n

F1 owners Liberty Media have tried to capitalise on that with the expansion of the racing series in North America.<\/p>\n

The Miami Grand Prix made its debut in 2022 while the Las Vegas Grand Prix held its first race in 2023.<\/p>\n

Chicago already has a strong motorsport presence. IndyCar and NASCAR raced regularly at Chicagoland Speedway before the COVID-19 pandemic struck.<\/p>\n

Last year, NASCAR hosted its first Cup Series street race in downtown Chicago.<\/p>\n

F1 demonstrations have been a regular occurrence in the Windy City.<\/p>\n
