Roosters<\/a> veteran\ufeff Jared Waerea-Hargreaves<\/a> has been ruled out of the club's season-opening trip to Las Vegas, with the NRL<\/a> refusing to budge on his suspension.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old is still serving a seven-game ban for separate offences in the round 26 match against the Tigers, which rubbed him out of the Roosters' finals campaign.<\/p>\n

The Roosters applied to have the annual All Stars clash included in \ufeffWaerea-Hargreaves' ban but the club was told the game wouldn't count as part of the suspension, and he'll have to sit out the clash against the Broncos at Allegiant Stadium in Vegas.<\/p>\n

The New Zealand Rugby League named Waerea-Hargreaves in the preliminary squad for the Pacific Championships, despite the champion prop having no chance of playing in the tournament.<\/p>\n

That meant Waerea-Hargreaves was allowed to wipe another three games off his suspension.<\/p>\n

He hoped including the All Stars, too, would allow him to be available for round one, but the NRL has knocked that back.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The prop will now likely make his return for the Roosters against the Rabbitohs in round three, which will also be his 300th game.<\/p>\n
