Ben Stokes<\/a> has produced an "unbelievable" run out to help England<\/a> upset India<\/a> in the first Test of their series.<\/p>\n

Stokes led the side to a 28-run victory with India bowled out for 202 on the fourth day thanks to a seven-wicket haul from debutant spinner Tom Hartley and a century to Ollie Pope.<\/p>\n

England finished their first innings with a respectable 246, with Stokes scoring 70 as Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets each.<\/p>\n

In response, India gained a 190-run lead, putting 436 runs on the board with Jadeja, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal all hitting half-centuries. Hartley was torn apart by India's batting, finishing with 2-131 at 5.24 runs per over.<\/p>\n

Pope's 196 in the second innings built England a significant lead after they were bowled out for 420.<\/p>\n

India's chase was on shaky ground with Hartley dismissing the top three of Rohit Sharma, Jaiswal and Gill to have them 3-63.<\/p>\n

Wickets kept falling before Stokes' run out of Jadeja totally put the game in England's favour.<\/p>\n

Only on 2, Jadeja hit \ufeffthe ball to Stokes' right at mid-on before he flicked it with one hand with the decision sent upstairs.<\/p>\n

Footage showed Jadeja \ufeffwell short of his crease, stunning the Indian crowd and bringing jubilation to the England side.<\/p>\n

"This is just unbelievable … a sheer piece of brilliance from the skipper," former Indian cricket Murali Kartik said on commentary.<\/p>\n

Jasprit Bumrah finished not out on six but went close to being dismissed during an incident similar to Alex Carey's stumping of Jonny Bairstow<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With Ben Foakes keeping up to the stumps, Bumrah missed a pull shot during his innings and pr\ufeffoceeded to jump in anger despite seeing the wicket-keeper with ball in hand.<\/p>\n
