A\ufefflyssa Healy<\/a> has defied the odds, overcoming illness concerns to power Australia<\/a> to a commanding eight wicket victory over South Africa in their T20 International clash.<\/p>\n

The captain was in doubt to \ufeffface the Proteas, but stepped up to the crease with one thing on her mind – winning.<\/p>\n

Healy helped do just that, smashing 46 off just 28 deliveries to set up a neat run chase for the hosts at Manuka Oval in Canberra.<\/p>\n

After South Africa set a total of 6-147, \ufeffit was not only Healy who stood up when her side needed it.<\/p>\n

Beside her was Beth Mooney<\/a>, who led the charge with an unbeaten 72 off 57 balls.\ufeff<\/p>\n

But even Mooney, who was named player of the match for her heroics with the bat, was in awe of\ufeff what her captain pulled off.<\/p>\n

"We know that Alyssa Healy does everything she can to play for Australia," Beth Mooney told the media post match.<\/p>\n

"She's never going to miss a game\ufeff, so if she's going to score runs like that, she can be unwell any day of the week, I think!<\/p>\n

"It's always nice to be at the other end when she's doing those. It's a sight to behold."<\/p>\n

Mooney continued to heap praise on Healy\ufeff, who smacked an impressive eight boundaries in Canberra.<\/p>\n

"She's always been a player that entertains the crowd and plays the game with such freedom and flair\ufeff," Mooney added.<\/p>\n

"To get the best seat in the house at the other end is always nice\ufeff."<\/p>\n

In the bowling attack, young star Darcie Brown\ufeff took two wickets alongside Elysse Perry (2\/13).\ufeff<\/p>\n
