P\ufeffERTH:<\/strong> Australia's women are through to the semi-finals of the Perth Sevens<\/a>, which might soon be rebranded the Perth Sixes after a wild quarter-final win over New Zealand.<\/p>\n

New Zealand star Jorja Miller was sent off for a dangerous tackle in the first minute of Australia's 24-14 win and Australia ace \ufeffMaddison Levi suffered the same fate in the seventh.<\/p>\n

It was Levi's first game back after serving \ufeffa suspension for a red card in the Cape Town final.<\/p>\n

"That's the beauty of sport, the unpredictability of it and then the ability for teams to react and show some character. But the evidence would suggest that we've got an issue and we need to sort it out."<\/p>\n

Maddison, the form player in sevens rugby, is now likely staring at a long ban.<\/p>\n

"It's clearly a little issue in our team but it's all about tackling low," Australia veteran Sharni Smale said.<\/p>\n

"So we've just got to go back to the drawing board… it takes hours to get that practice and we're getting cross code people coming over and playing. So it'll be a thing that we'll just have to manage."<\/p>\n

Faith Nathan, Madison Ashby, Charlotte Caslick and Dominique du Toit were Australia's try scorers in front of a delighted, but sweltering, HBF Park.<\/p>\n
