Dallas Mavericks<\/a> superstar Luka Doncic<\/a> has placed himself in rarefied air, dropping 73 points in his side's win over Atlanta Hawks.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old broke the all-time franchise record and tied for the fourth-most in NBA<\/a> history, with Wilt Chamberlain and Kobe Bryant<\/a> the only players to have scored more points in a single game.<\/p>\n

Doncic blew past his personal-best and team-record of 60 points in a dominant display, which came just four days after Philadelphia\u2019s Joel Embiid scored a franchise-record of his own with 70 points, which was the previous highest of the season to date.<\/p>\n

A three-point play with 2:58 remaining gave Doncic 70 points, before he added another three-pointer to cap off an incredible night against the Hawks.<\/p>\n

At one stage during his scoring frenzy, Donkic yelled "can't f—ing stop me" and was clearly riding the emotional high.<\/p>\n

Chamberlain still holds the all-time NBA record with 100 points and also had a 78-point game, while the aforementioned Bryant had 81.<\/p>\n

Doncic has been in strong form for Dallas throughout the season, \ufeffhelping them remain in the top-eight in the Western Conference and further cementing himself as one of the NBA's elite stars.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the league, Indiana spoiled Devin Booker\u2019s 62-point night, overcoming a 17-point deficit to beat the Phoenix Suns.<\/p>\n

Booker broke his own Phoenix record for points in a quarter with 29 in the first and had a chance to win it at the buzzer, but he slipped on the inbounds pass and wasn\u2019t close with a contested 3-pointer.<\/p>\n
