C\ufeffollingwood<\/a> defender Nathan Murphy has survived a scary incident during match simulation on Friday.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old, who suffered a game-ending concussing during the Magpies heroic four-point grand final win over Brisbane in 2023<\/a>, was dumped in a tackle by teammate Nick Daicos.<\/p>\n

Laying on the ground before behind helped up, teammates and medical staff alike were quick to hold their breath.\ufeff<\/p>\n

\ufeffMurphy was taken off the track for 15 minutes to be assessed, but thankfully rejoined the group for the remainer of the session.<\/p>\n

Back in December, the young Pie was cleared to resume his career by the AFL's concussion panel.<\/p>\n

Murphy\ufeff has suffered multiple concussions in his career, including an accidental collision with Brisbane's Lincoln McCarthy in the first quarter of September's decider.<\/p>\n

It's believed Murphy's family and friends expressed concern about his return to the game.<\/p>\n

"Nathan suffered a concussion late in the first quarter of the grand final and following this incident \u2013 combined with his medical history \u2013 the club together with Nathan and his family, engaged with concussion specialists and the AFL's medical concussion panel to assess a return to play," Collingwood football boss Graham Wright in a statement last month.<\/p>\n
