P\ufeffERTH:<\/strong> Australia star Teagan Levi has been slapped with a three game ban for her dangerous hit at the Perth Sevens on Friday.<\/p>\n

Levi was sent off after making contact with the head of Great Britain's Emma Uren \ufeffas Australia crashed to a historic 19-12 loss.<\/a><\/p>\n

The judicial officer on Saturday then determined that Levi deserved further punishment, meaning the 20-year-old will miss Australia's final pool game and the quarter-final and semi-final – should they make it that far.<\/p>\n

Levi's sister, Maddison, will serve the final game of her own three match suspension in the last pool game against Canada on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The judicial officer oddly took into account "her young age and polite and candid manner at the hearing."<\/p>\n

Despite the shock loss, Australia did enough on day one to book a place in the quarter-finals, regardless of the result in their final pool game.<\/p>\n
