Another day, another blunder from the cricket<\/a> umpires.<\/p>\n

In just the second over of the pink-ball Test between Australia<\/a> and West Indies<\/a>, Sharfuddoula Saikat was left red-faced after a horror lbw decision was quickly overturned by the third umpire.<\/p>\n

Visiting captain Kraigg Braithwaite was trapped on the pad from Josh Hazlewood's first delivery of the match, but to the naked eye it appeared that there was bat involved.<\/p>\n

However, in an unfortunate moment, Saikat \ufeffput his finger up after some brief hesitation and Braithwaite immediately sent the bizarre call upstairs, with video replays showing a massive inside-edge.<\/p>\n

"Not a great start for the umpiring side of the things," Ian Smith said on Fox Cricket.<\/p>\n

"A very healthy inside-edge … it was an odd decision.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

Just two overs later, Braithwaite was in the midst of the drama once again, with the Aussies reviewing a caught-behind decision, which Saikat initially deemed not-out.<\/p>\n

The umpire was able to breathe a sigh of relief however, with replays revealing that the ball had only clipped Braithwaite's thighpad, allowing him to survive and seeing Pat Cummins burn an early review.<\/p>\n

The third time would prove to be unlucky for Braithwaite however, with the skipper dismissed by Hazlewood for just 4 off 25 deliveries.<\/p>\n
