\ufeffTaylor Fritz<\/a> has vowed that he will ensure his girlfriend honours her pledge to eat an entire jar of Vegemite on Instagram Live after he defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas<\/a> in the fourth round of the Australian Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fritz sealed his maiden quarter finals spot in the tournament with a 7-6, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3<\/a> victory, causing an upset over the world No.7.<\/p>\n

\ufeffPost-match, the American revealed he was always confident the result would go his way after pointing to his box saying "I told you" when he sealed his showdown with Novak Djokovic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI told them I was going to win," he said on Nine's coverage.<\/p>\n

"My girlfriend (Morgan Riddle) said I was too confident going into the match."<\/p>\n

Following his revelation, Fritz was asked about his girlfriend's promise from two days ago and dared her to make good on the post. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Yeah, this is a big jar (but a bet's a bet)," he said as he looked up to her and shrugged his shoulders.<\/p>\n

Riddle was then captured indicating her desire to eat a smaller jar. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The American ace then proceeded to declare he won't be joining in and revealing he'd previously tried the Australian delicacy.<\/p>\n

"I won't be partaking, but I'll make sure it happens… I wasn't the biggest fan," he laughed.<\/p>\n

Fritz's next clash against the world No.1 will present a huge challenge for the 26-year-old with Djokovic winning all eight matches against him.<\/p>\n

Having hit 13 aces \ufeffand claiming an 86 per cent win rate on his first serve against Tsitsipas, the American declared he'll have to replicate that form if he's any chance of victory.<\/p>\n

"A lot of these \ufeffmatchups are from when I was a bit younger, since (then) I've improved and been a better player," he said.<\/p>\n

"The times I've played him since I haven't brought my best level and you need to, to compete against Novak I'm going to have to serve like I did today but I feel confident.<\/p>\n
