Russian Karen Khachanov<\/a> has been \ufeffdealt a bittersweet moment in his loss to world No.4 Jannik Sinner<\/a>, after delivering one of the shots of the tournament in the third set.<\/p>\n

With the Italian winning the opening two sets 6-4, 7-5<\/a>, Khachanov needed some inspiration to keep himself in the hunt and found it with his between the legs shot.<\/p>\n

\ufeffAfter taking the first game of the third set, and up 15-0, the world No.15 was under pressure when Sinner's lob pushed him to the baseline.<\/p>\n

Khachanov then \ufefftracked brilliantly, hit the return between his legs and landed it just before the baseline for a sensational point with the Russian gesturing to the crowd after in attempt to get support on his side. <\/p>\n

"A supertweener," commentator David Basheer described it as on Nine's coverage.<\/p>\n

Former American tennis player Nick Monroe added there's not many players who could achieve the feat.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"He kind of gave him a fake too when Jannik was running up for the drop shot, he kind of gave him a fake that he was going to come forward and the drop went up, he went back, and (returned it) between the legs," he explained.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Khachanov, the miracle shot couldn't inspire him to a comeback victory with Sinner winning the third set 6-3 to seal his quarter finals spot. <\/p>\n
