C\ufeffollingwood Magpies<\/a> have come under intense criticism following a video promoting the club's new training facility.<\/p>\n

The indoor court has been renovated on the club's former netball base, with the Magpies' Super Netball<\/a> club folding in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Throughout the video posted on social media, star Jeremy Howe \ufeffgives an insight into the refurbishments, including a training field, gym and basketball hoops along with other features.<\/p>\n

"As you can see the boys are having a hell of a time in here," Howe says.<\/p>\n

The fresh infrastructure copped the ire of many on social media, with the renovation of Collingwood's headquarters receiving government assistance in the form of a $15 million grant towards women's sports team facilities.<\/p>\n

"Congratulations on using women's sport to siphon taxpayer money into one of the wealthiest men's football operations in Australia," academic and author Hunter Fujak wrote on X.<\/p>\n

Plenty of commentary around social media also suggested the Magpies had been blocking users who referenced the former netball club.<\/p>\n

One user's post 'Rip our netball team' also appeared to be hidden.<\/p>\n
