Aussie doubles star Storm Hunter<\/a> has managed to help her teammate \ufeffKate\u0159ina Siniakov\u00e1 get past a meltdown and defeat wildcard Australians Maddison Inglis<\/a> and Destanee Aiava in a women's doubles<\/a> match dubbed a "rollercoaster".<\/p>\n

The number three seeds went down 2-6 in the first set<\/a> but appeared to be in cruise control at 4-2 in the second set.<\/p>\n

However, Inglis and Aiava managed to win the next game off the back of a Siniakov\u00e1 double fault.<\/p>\n

The Czech then reacted with extreme emotion, \ufeffthrowing her racquet to the ground before destroying it while sitting down.<\/p>\n

She then began crying and pointing to her box.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"\ufeffShe's really upset isn't she?," former Australian player Louise Pleming said on Nine's coverage.<\/p>\n

Commentator Abigail Johnson suggested there could be more at play.<\/p>\n

"There's something going on isn't there?," she said.<\/p>\n

"I think this is something deeper than a match. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"She's been in tougher situations than this.<\/p>\n

Pleming: "This is really hard to watch."<\/p>\n

Hunter was seen providing positive reinforcement for \ufeffher teammate and from there the two seemed to click, winning the second set 7-5.<\/p>\n

The third set was then a procession, with the No.3 seeds winning 6-1 to seal victory. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"It will \ufefffeel particularly sweet for the Czech that she got it done on her serve after a bit of a rollercoaster day. The number three seeds survive," Johnson said.<\/p>\n

Hunter and \ufeffSiniakov\u00e1's next opponents in the third round of the women's doubles will be Russians Ekaterina Alexandrova and Anna Kalinskaya at Show Court Arena on Sunday, 2:15pm (AET).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
