As well as bringing a showcase event to the Middle East, ONE Championship is offering local fighters the chance to win a place on their roster.
\nAs a part of grassroots efforts to develop martial arts talent in the region, ONE will also host a no-gi submission grappling tournament in the lead-up to ONE 166: Qatar.
\n\u201cRoad to ONE: Doha\u201d will take place on Thursday, February 29 at the Aspire Zone (Doha Sports City). The competition will span five weight divisions, with winners in the advanced category earning US$100,000 contracts to grapple for ONE.

\nRankings are based on BJJ ranking (belt colour) or years of experiences if you have no BJJ ranking level.
\nBeginners (White belt or 0-2 years of experience if unranked)
\nIntermediate (Blue and Purple belt or 2-4 years of experience if unranked)
\nAdvanced (Brown and Black belt or 4+ years of experience if unranked)
\nJuvenile: 15 \u2013 17 years old | 135 lbs \/ 155 lbs \/ 170 lbs \/ 185 lbs \/ 185+ lbs
\nAdult: 18 \u2013 29 years old | 135 lbs \/ 155 lbs \/ 170 lbs \/ 185 lbs \/ 185+ lbs
\nMaster 1: 30 \u2013 39 years old | 135 lbs \/ 155 lbs \/ 170 lbs \/ 185 lbs \/ 185+ lbs
