Troy Johnson and Nick Kelly are the toast of Wellington this weekend after an incredible combo catch some are calling the best ever.<\/p>\n

In game 22 of Super Smash \u2013 New Zealand<\/a>'s domestic T20<\/a> competition \u2013 Central Stags batter Will Young played a lofted drive over mid-on.<\/p>\n

Johnson desperately chased the ball and caught it in front of him before dropping to his knees and sliding towards the boundary rope.<\/p>\n

In an extraordinary display of athleticism, Johnson launched himself into the air just millimetres from the rope to throw the ball back into the field of play.<\/p>\n

Trailing behind him, Kelly caught the ball and was credited with the catch.<\/p>\n

"This is close to if not the best combo catch I've ever seen," wrote former Black Caps fast bowler Mitchell McClenaghan on social media.<\/p>\n

"That is unbelievable," screamed TVNZ commentator Scotty Stevenson.<\/p>\n

"Troy Johnson has pulled off something quite remarkable here. Nick Kelly has come in late but the catch will stand, I'm sure of it."\u00a0<\/p>\n
