Czech tennis<\/a>\ufeff young gun Jiri Lehecka raised his hands, clenched his fists and let out a spirited shout of triumph.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old was teeming with emotion after securing his first ATP title on Saturday night, ecstatic following a defeat of Englishman Jack Draper in the Adelaide International<\/a> men's singles final.<\/p>\n

Lehecka dropped the first set but fought back to grab a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory in a match that lasted a tick over two hours.<\/p>\n

"It's hard for me to say something because it's so emotional to win my first title here in Adelaide. I'm super excited," said Lehecka, who also shared an emotional embrace with his coach after the win.<\/p>\n

"Thanks to my coach for being here with me. We've waited so long for this moment and here we are. "Thanks to my family for supporting me from home [and] to everyone who kept their fingers crossed for me the whole week and whole season and, of course, thanks to everyone who made this event possible."\ufeff<\/p>\n

Lehecka won despite tallying 17 unforced errors to Draper's five.<\/p>\n

Lehecka, the world No.32, also faced nine break points against the world No.62, but saved eight of them.<\/p>\n

\ufeffHe will meet Spaniard Bernabe Zapate in the first round of the Australian Open on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
